In April 2025, Sugar Ray and the Bluetones settled in Sibculo (Overijssel), where they spent three days recording at Bo Brocken's Natural Records studio. The album "Blues From Sibculo" was released on October 31st. The album was recorded in the spirit of the renowned Chess label sound: pure, unfiltered, and completely live. The music of Sugar Ray and the Bluetones has its roots in the Chicago blues of Muddy Waters, Little Walter, and Billy Boy Arnold; the Kansas City Swing style of "Big" Joe Turner; and the Texas blues of "T" Bone Walker and Freddie King.
Singer, harpist, and three-time Grammy nominee Sugar Ray Norcia's career gained momentum in 1979 when he co-founded the original Sugar Ray and the Bluetones with guitar giant Ronnie Earl. Norcia has been nominated for a total of 22 Blues Music Awards, including two Blues Music Awards in 2014, and has played on more than sixty albums. In 2012, Ray was inducted into the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame. In 2016, Sugar Ray and his band, The Bluetones, released a CD titled "Seeing Is Believing." Sugar Ray was nominated for no fewer than seven Blues Music Awards in 2017, including Traditional Blues Male Artist and B.B. King Entertainer of the Year!

Geils, Jimmy Rogers, Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters, and rockabilly legend Sleepy LaBeef. His recordings with Hubert Sumlin also featured Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, and Levon Helm, among Ward's more than fifty recordings.
Drummer Neil Gouvins has been with Sugar Ray since they were in high school together and plays drums on all of the Bluetones' recordings. He also appears on a CD with John Hammond Jr. called Found True Love (Virgin), which was nominated for a Grammy.
