Mark Cloutier and Mike Petroff are the nucleus of Dirty Pool and have been playing together for close to 20 years. They have enjoyed the good times and have endured the bad times of a typical hardworking Independent Blue Collar Band working in a close knit area.
Through the years, the guys have had a few different combinations making up the rhythm section but have somehow continued to keep the music going and gaining new fans along the way.
If you like to hear Harmonica/Guitar driven Blues with hard hitting rockin' and boogieing, these guys are the real deal. Watching and listening to them perform, you will see their true passion for playing the Blues for you.
ark and Mike are also collaborating with their previous Bass player of 5 years, Mike Brando, on a studio project with the Bluefins.
CD: Bar Room Blues
"Midnight" Mike Petroff (aka Dr. Harp) and Mark Cloutier have teamed up with the journeymen rhythm section of Garnet Grimm, Sr. (drums) and Bill Satterly (bass) and have just released the band's fourth album - "Barroom Blues". The best way to hear a Blue Collar band is out live and we have captured that sound for you on the disc. Playing the Blues is a hard road but great people make it easy to follow our passion.
Inside Cover Text:
The recording of "Barroom Blues" was a natural progression from our 2003 release "Blue Collar Blues". The tracks for this recording are raw, real and grounded in the K.I.S.S. principle to bring you the purest sounding Blues from some of the best venues in the Northeast. In appreciation for the masters and support from our fans, our mission is to keep our music true whether playing out at a gig or putting it on disc.
This album includes 5 original tracks written by Mark Cloutier in collaboration with fellow founding member, "Midnight" Mike Petroff, and 2 tracks written/arranged by the newest band member, Bill Satterly.
