Gashouse Dave, whose real name is David Shorey, is from the Boston area. Gashouse is no stranger to the blues having performed with Mike Bloomfield in the 70's and is even featured on a couple of Bloomfield's records. Anytime you buy a Gashouse CD, there is no telling exactly what you might get. The songs featured on this CD, for example, show a heavy Hendrix influence from the electroharmonics down to the vocals. Lyrically, he reminds the listener of Tom Waits. Bottomline is, the guy can rock! If you are feeling a little adventuresome, this is a good CD to buy.
