My bands in the early days (Let the Good Times Roll) from the mid 70’s, (The Rebel Rousers, Sha-boogie) from the early 80’s,I also did sessions for The Deans, Black Lace, Billy Dean and the Wild Cats to mention but a few.
In 1986 I started a tour that took me rocking around the world After rocking the boat on cruise ships, and helping to shape the modern day concept of Rock’n’Roll piano bars around Scandinavia, I settled in Stavanger Norway where I formed The Blue Masters.
I lived in Stavanger from 1990 until 2004, and in that short space of time I made a lifelong friendship with writer and ex DJ Tony Burton, we wrote over 40 songs together.
I managed to capture the hearts of everyone I met, performing alongside many of Norway's top Stars.Norwegian Gossip Magazine (Se og hor) described me as “Norway’s best kept secret” that was whilst I was performing on the MS Norway in 1998 with an array of Norwegian stars.
I became very popular, with the original songs Tony and I had written in the early 90’s.Playing at Festivals, Dance clubs, and events all around the country, followed by TV and Radio appearances, a record deal and a sponsorship with Yamaha Scandinavia.
In 2004 due to ill heath in my family I returned to my roots in Yorkshire. I still tour twice a year in Norway and sometimes Denmark. I was hoping to get back on to the Rock ‘n’ Roll circuit
in the UK but it’s not happened yet !!! My concept is that over the years I have recorded quite a few albums. I have playback for all of these albums, I sing and play piano live with the sound of a great Rock’n‘Roll band behind me.
It’s great to dance to and great to watch as I thump the piano with my hands and feet.I have recently put together The Neil Wilde Boogie Band which is aimed at playing Rock Rhythm Root’s & Boogie Woogie Blues
I started in Yorkshire 1976 I rocked all over the world and came home to Yorkshire. 49 years of helping to keep Rock Rhythm Root’s & Boogie Woogie Blues music alive globally. Don’t stop keep on Rocking !!!
