I am originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, but for the last 12 years I have lived in Mississippi. Listening to the blues by artists such as B.B. King, Bobby Rush, Tyrone Davis, Willie Claton, and many others who has inspired me to sing the Blues. Before I started writing the Blues I Had to find out Why people sing the blues. Most artist sing the blues about themselves or about a close friend. Same here in my case, these blues are personal because I have fused old school, blues, R&B, jazz, and pop together to create this album called Mr Bee sings the blues.
