"We are a blues & blues rock band based in North Central North Carolina. We have played small events including private parties, and large events including the Lowes Motor Speedway before 100,000 + people. Our new CD of origional songs has been out for about a year and has sold in 12 countries. We are continuing to write new songs for our next CD. We have also played many benefits for the St. Judes Childrens Cancer Hospital. and the Veterans admin. We play music by such greats as Eric Clapton, The Doobie Brothers, Allman Brothers, Los Lonley Boys, Molly Hatchet, Z.Z. Top B.B. King and many many others. We have three sets of sound equipment to service venues from small rooms to outdoor events. We use Mackie boards, Peavey speakers, and QSC amps, The drums use Shure mics, and vocal mics are Shure 58 wireless and AKG. Kenny Moore is from Eden, N.C and has been playing guitar for more years than he wants to remember. His smooth rhythums help cement the sound of the band.
Matt Williams on lead guitar was born in Long Beach N.Y., and grew up in Vermont near the base of Killington. He moved back to New York when he was 17 and at the age of 20 moved to North Carolina. Matt is now 24 and has been playing guitar since the age of 15. He cut his teeth on classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Guns & Roses and Alice in Chains. He later found himself drawn to the blues. He studied everyone from T Bone Walker & Robert Johnson to Buddy Guy & SRV. Matt was self taught, and playes by ear. He decided to spend a few years studying classical music in the styles of Bach, Beethoven, Paganini and Andres Segovia to learn theory and structure behind music. For a while Matt wrote & played instrumental pieces and followed the works of great guitarists like Steve Morse, Satriani, and Steve Vai. It seems that his music has come full circle . (Or maybe we should say Floydz Circle). While his technique and aspirations fall in the classical relm of music, his heart identifies with the simpler tones of the blues and the gain driven sounds of rock & roll. He has been a great addition to the sound of the Floydz Circle Band.
Virginia Masius started playing bass in the suburbs of Chicago, where she grew up. She moved to North Carolina in 1982, and attended Eastern Carolina Universtiy, then North Carolina School of the Arts, where she earned a bachelor's degree in 1991.
She currently plays with the Greensboro Symphony, the Salisbury Symphony, and the Josh Preslar band. She has played in countless musical productions, with the latest being the Full Monty in July 2007.
Her other claim to fame is ten years with the Ladies Auxiliary Blues Band. Virginia has also recorded with various singers/songwriters, and has held a teaching position at the Music Loft in Greensboro, N.C since 1997.She has been a great addition to the band both with her bass, and her vocals.
Michael Bolejack started playing drums at the age of five. He began listening to jazz at a very early age. Mike grew up in Reidsville, N.C. and started playing local clubs at age 12 where he got into rock & roll and R&B. At 19 he preformed with country great Ronnie Milsap. thru his career he has performed with such greats as Chuck Berry, The Outlaws, Earl Thomas Conley, Channel 9, Street Feet, and Buzzy Meekins formally of Molly Hatchett. He has most reicently been touring & recording with Russian Pianist Yelena Eckemoff. He has also done studio sessions fo the past 20 years with Saltmine Productions for television, Radio and films. Mike is a welcome addition to the band, and fills out our sound.
Keith McMannes handles the lead vocals. He started his career at the age of 14 in and around Cleveland Ohio. Thru the 60's he played Motown with a group called the Riots throughout Ohio. He sang with Donnie Dunn for four years, and has been singing with the Floydz Circle Band for the last 14 years. Keith started writing songs at about 14 and recorded his first single at 15. He has written the lyrics for the Floydz Circle Bands CD titled Yonder Goes A Madman, and continues to write for the next CD. For several years Keith worked on music videos for The Times, The Drifters, and Little Anthony. He is happy to once again be on the other side of the camera.
All members assist with back-up vocals to round out their full, rich sound" ~ The Bash.com, 2006 years.
