JT Coldfire plays a combination of roots music equally whiskey-soaked in outlaw country and barroom blues sounding every bit authentic. Coldfire was born in Corpus Christi, Tx to a diverse musical environment that ranged from country, blues, traditional mexican music and southern rock. jT started playing in bars, clubs, and motorcycle rallies by the age of 15 and soon became a staple in the South Texas music community. He relocated to New York City at 20 to further accolades as an authentic Texas act in the nightclubs of Greenwich Villiage. After moving back to Texasto get back to his roots, he put together a new group and hit the road dropping into dancehalls, honky tonks, festivals, and sawdust on the floor blues joints in the south playing 300 days a year. All the while buildaing a reputation as one of the hardest working musicians in Austin, Tx not only winning the 2012 Heart of Texas Blues Challenge but being included into the Songwriters Across Texas wall of fame in 2014. Five Scandinavian tours under his belt, four studio albums, one double live album and two more to be released this summer of 2014 along with another European tour JT is not slowing down.
