Terry Marshall reveals details of his debut album, Terry Marshall and Friends “Living the Blues” which boasts eleven blues classics performed with some of the finest blues musicians in the UK, including blues virtuoso Laurence Jones, award-winning singer/songwriters Alice Armstrong and Emma Wilson, and Deep Purple co-founder and bass player Nick Simper, to name but a few. “Living the Blues” will be released as a limited edition 180-gram heavyweight double LP set, CD and digitally via Marshall Records on October 11th, 2024. The announcement is accompanied by the new single “I Got All You Need”.  This album is not just a collection of songs; it’s a return to the pure, unembellished essence of the blues, distilled from a lifetime spent immersed in the genre. Terry’s approach to recording the album was as unique as his career. He aimed to capture the raw energy of live performances by working with musicians he has shared the stage with. Recorded live at The Marshall Studio in four days, arrangements were created on the fly to keep the atmosphere relaxed and spontaneous. This method resulted in a record rich in moments of spontaneity and raw energy, perfectly embodying the spirit of the blues.
