American singer-songwriter Greg Copeland (born July 1954 in Portsmouth, Virginia) has been living in Germany for quite some time. Since his youth, he has been musically influenced by artists such as James Brown, Wilson Pickett, Robert Johnson, and Howlin’ Wolf. His style sits somewhere between blues, soul, and funk. He has collaborated with artists including Gerry Williams (formerly of Eruption), blues guitarists Gregor Hilden, Guitar Crusher, and Kai Strauss, and blues singer Big Daddy Wilson. In addition, he leads his own band and forms the acoustic blues duo Deep Down South with Martin Messing. Sheffield-based English guitarist Chris Wragg is known for his work with the blues-rock trio The Mudcat Blues Trio. He has toured extensively across the UK and Europe with that band and has also performed alongside artists such as Buddy Guy, T-Model Ford, and Aynsley Lister.
Chris Wragg and Greg Copeland met in 2015 at a blues festival in Belgium. During that meeting, they discovered a shared love for Chicago blues. One thing led to another, and the two decided to collaborate and record an album together.
Fourth album – "Tonight We Cross The River" is a studio album by British blues-rock duo Chris Wragg and Greg Copeland, released on September 25, 2026, on the King Hog Music label.
