Snapshot Blues has potenet blues guitar playing by Hardwire Speers with blues and jazz textures by Rob Madiak on drums and David Robinson on bass, joined for a few songs by Eugene Kirton on sax and clarinet.
I have a love of the blues, but also grew up listening to rock and jazz - amongst other things - which I wanted to bring together for this album. As much as I love a soaring overdriven guitar, I also love the sophistication of a jazz rhythm section, the airiness of woodwinds, and words that are playful.
