He plays mainly in Texas blues and Delta blues styles, although his music has been described as experimental, with elements of psychedelic rock. He has performed with or opened for artists that include Bo Diddley, Tab Benoit, Coco Montoya, Tommy Castro, Sonny Landreth, and Canned Heat.
