An absolute "must-have" for all Minglewood fans, or those who just love "rockin' the blues." Anyone who has ever seen Cape Breton legend Matt Minglewood live knows he is one of the best "front-men" in the business. "Live at Last" indeed! The band members (Grant Leslie on bass, Neil Robertson on drums and Jim Ralph on keyboards) are at very their best individually and collectively in this live recording--their performance is stellar. But the addition of Jeff Healey to the line-up (arguably Canada's best blues and jazz musician) just sends this album soaring through the roof. Jeff sits in on every track, and his finesse adds a depth that is not to be missed. He blends with and complements Minglewood and his band as if they'd all been playing together for years. Michael Pickett also sits in on several tracks, and his harp is admirably featured on "Night Creeper".
