Nashville roots-rocker Patrick Sweany returns with another album of powerful modern blues recordings, the longtime friend and collaborator of The Black Keys guitar slinger Dan Auerbach, Close To The Floor finds Sweany dealing with loss and grief in the aftermath of a double family tragedy with an album that centres around personal catharsis and hope and faith in the power of the human spirit of “about the resilience of people who love each other” as well as tackling his battles with the music industry, you can learn more by listening to this Tennessean Music Podcast, as Auerbach succinctly puts it “Patrick speaks the truth in his songs”.
