From the band's Bio...
"After 10 years fronting the Baltimore band The Bridge, Cris Jacobs is continuing to show his depth and range as a gifted songwriter and performer with the new Cris Jacobs Band. This line-up of stellar musicians, featuring the upright bass wizardry of Jake Leckie, the textured drumming of former Bridge bandmate Mike Gambone, the beautiful pedal steel guitar work of Dave Hadley, and the blissful harmony singing and percussion of Ed Hough, is a perfect complement Cris' deeply expressive vocals, passionate, gritty guitar playing, and poignant songwriting."
"The unique instrumentation and rich sonic palate create an instantly engaging sound that ranges from intensely rockin' to sublimely sweet to hauntingly psychedelic. Cris' prolific songbook provides the fertile ground for this amazing group of players to express their distinct voices, and with their monster chops and improvisational fearlessness, CJB can create a truly transcendental live experience."

Cris commented about his band...
"I am extremely proud of this first record as a band, and very grateful for Chris, Jake, Dave, Mike, and Ed for their amazing talents and attitudes.
It's been less than a year since this band formed. I've already used words like "magical", "haunting", and "transcendental" to describe how it feels to play with these guys. It's been an adventure every time we hit the stage. Its a rare gift to find a group of players that can get together and just play, with little need for discussion, and make beautiful music. I hope you enjoy this record as much as we did making it. There's much more to come."...Cris
The sound and vision is pretty much bang on as was the music of The Bridge. A skillful, tasteful recording, with some fabulous harmonies. Hope these guys can make it where The Bridge did not succeed.
"Songs For Cats and Dogs," reassures devoted, post The Bridge, Cris Jacobs' fans of his abilities as both a frontman and a songwriter. He, along with his band, have managed to carve out an entirely new musical path filled with amazing musicianship, detailed arrangements, and the ability to effortlessly weave back and forth between genres, while staying true to their original sound"...Scott Paddock
