Bad Boy is my first CD. It is the culmination of 25 years of playing the blues. That 25 years includes playing with some of the guys that created this genre. Guys like Earl King, Jimmy Rogers, Hubert Sumlin, Otis Rush, and Nappy Brown. It represents the many styles of blues that I've played. Everything from South Side and West Side Chicago Blues, Lousiana swamp blues, West Coast Swing, Soul Music, New Orelans R&B, and swing and jump blues. This CD has 13 tunes, 9 of which are orginals. Roger Edsall (blues harp/vocals) and I decided to start writing a few years ago, and writing in the style that we play. So, this is the first but not the last.

About the Artist
Dave Sherman started playing the blues in the mid '70s and got his feet wet by sitting in with Washington DC area stalwarts The Nighthawks and Tom Principato. Feeling the need to have his own band, he started The Rhythm Masters in 1978 and toured the east coast extensivley, playing everywhere he could between New York and Columbia South Carolina. In 1982 Dave joined The Uptown Rhythm Kings, a horn driven jump/swing band and got tottally emersed in the jump blues scene. In the '80s Dave formed Little Junior and The Hitmen and got the opportunity to be back-up band for blues greats Jimmy Rogers, Hubert Sumlin, Otis Rush, and Earl King. This gave Dave the kind of experience that only comes from playing with the greats. You can't get this stuff off a record.  In 1994 Dave started his current project... The Nightcrawlers. They've been playing clubs and festivals from Maine to Tidewater Virginia with much success and have an ever growing following. Finally, Dave released his first CD, which shows off his wide range of influences, delivered in a style that is all his own. Paul Benjamin, promoter of The North Atlantic Blues Festival, described Dave's blues as deep and powerful (https://www.amazon.com/Bad-Boy-Dave-Sherman-Nightcrawlers/dp/B00005LK6F).
