Harmonica-ace Bryan Koenig hails from the Wausau, Wisconsin area, where he had been a mainstay on the blues scene for nearly two decades. Shortly after the release of their critically-acclaimed Blue Loon CD, 'Wake Up!', the band broke up. The members of the Stand Back Blues Band went their separate ways. Guitarist Jay Stulo forged a relationship with Luther Allison prior to venturing off on his own. Drummer Bron Westland has played behind Lady Blue, the Boogiemen, and most recently Howard Luedtke's band, before his untimely death in 1999. Many great CDs have come from the upper Midwest and this is one of them.
