Gilby Hager is an eclectic blues-infused Americana folk-rock singer-songwriter who has just released an album of original songs entitled Handprint In The Sand, produced by Brian Pothier (of Denny Laine’s Moody Wings Band). In the mid 1970s, Gilby recorded a self-titled solo album containing eight original songs at The Barn in North Ferrisberg, Vermont, produced by Martin C. Grosswendt and released on Fretless Records (FR120). Gilby was a founding member of The Ragwagon Band, an eclectic skiffle band that release a 14 song CD album (including four of Gilby’s compositions) in 2003. “The Ragwagon Band CD is wonderful…much fun! From 1989 to 2008 Gilby lived and practiced Rehab Medicine in Hawaii. He recorded some of his compositions with members of Taj Mahal’s Hula Blues Band, produced by Jim Winkler on the island of Kauai.  He also collaborated with Steve Miles on a collection of blues-infused and eclectic compositions, some of which were recorded as Mojo Remedy on the island of Oahu. Currently, Gilby is working with Brian Pothier on a collection of unfinished Mojo Remedy songs and several other solo original compositions to be released in early 2021.
