Bringing a truckload of raw energy on stage, Sugar Queen tells a story based on her roots. Born and raised in the south, Michele performed in churches and toured various parts of the United States.During her time in the US, Michele worked a dual role as director/vocalist for several gospel and classic choirs. Additionally Michele has worked with blues artists in China and Malaysia.Sugar Queen’s debut CD “340 Blues” was voted #9 in the Top Chicago Blues Album Chart for the Year of 2018 and #29 for the Year of 2019.Taking inspiration from her paternal Alabama roots, in 2019, Sugar Queen released, “Sugar Queen LIVE” which was voted #12 in the Top Chicago Blues Album for the Year of 2019.
