Hamish Anderson: A student of the three Kings (Albert, BB and Freddie), Peter Green and Keith Richards with influences of Jeff Buckley and Tom Petty.
Hamish is a blues rock artist (guitarist/singer/songwriter) from Melbourne, Australia who was the last artist to open for the late BB King. This spring, he completed a 12 city tour opening for The Rides (featuring Stephen Stills, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Barry Goldberg).
In addition to these tours, he's performed over sixty shows in the US including seven showcases during SXSW; as well as Robert Cray, Los Lobos, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Wynona Judd and Blues Traveler.
He’s received an award for Best Blues Song by the Independent Music Awards for his single “Burn”; was a finalist in the Independent Acoustic Music Awards for "Street Lights" and was profiled in Huffington Post “Beyond the Six Strings” as well as The Blues Magazine UK for their “Future of Blues Music” issue in 2015.
His debut album, titled Trouble, was produced by Jim Scott (Tom Petty, Tedeschi Trucks, Ryan Bingham, Wilco, Grace Potter) and will feature Steve Berlin (Los Lobos) on baritone sax; Johnny Radelat (Gary Clark Jr), Freddie Bokkenheuser (Ryan Adams), and Aaron Sterling (John Mayer) on drums; Chris Bruce (Seal, Meshell Ndegeocello) and Rob Calder (Angus & Julia Stone, Kanye) on bass; and Chris Joyner (Ryan Bingham) and Jerry Borge (Jonathan Wilson) on keys.
The first single, the title track from the debut album, “Trouble,” was released in April widely. Since then, it has received over 1k reported spins on BDS; been ranked in the top 80 of the Indicator charts; and has also enjoyed several weeks at #1 in Ocean City, MD at WOCM starting in June on AAA non comm radio. Additionally it was selected for Spotify’s official “Blues Roots & Rock” playlist on release, as well as Discover Weekly on Spotify.  The official video had an exclusive premiere on Relix.com.
His next single, "Hold On Me" released on September 27th with an exclusive stream on Impose Magazine, as well as presence on AAA, Alt Specialty and College radio formats in the USA.
The album, Trouble, releases October 21, 2016.
