Tyler takes the singer-songwriter approach to acoustic blues, sometimes just by herself or with backing musicians. Equally worth listening to is Ponty Bone on accordion, who plays lead as aggressively as a harmonica on "Comfort Me On," and Thad Scott's smoky, sad sax on "Two Hearts." The album is not restricted to country-blues; it contains splashes of New Orleans flavor. Her guitar playing is down-to-earth, and she's a thought-provoking songwriter.
