Appeared in the movie, Now or Never (2012), which dealt with bigotry against gays in the 70s. Also starred in the television show, Time Can't Wait (1998), which addressed racial prejudice in the 60s.
Lives in Venice, California. Father, with Karen Landry, of Amelia Mulkey & Elizabeth Mulkey. Appeared in the music video Supertramp: Brother Where You Bound (1985) with his wife, Karen Landry. The video, in which Mulkey plays a renegade defense technician, was controversial due to its (then) perceived graphic depiction of violence. Coincidentally, it was the longest song Supertramp ever recorded clocking in at 16 and a half minutes. Is naturally left-handed, but plays the guitar with his right hand. Has recorded eight albums as Chris Mulkey, Chris Mulkey and Deluxe, and Vic Mulkey and The Blue Veins.
In 1974, Chris was co-writer and actor of an unfinished film titled "Ride the Rough Country" which starred Aldo Ray. One of the other actors in it was L.Q. Jones.
