Back from a long break after a successful three week tour of the South of France with the "Gas Blues Band" in 2012, Shy is ready to ease back into the scene. Having performed in Riga, Latvia with the "Latvian Blues Band" in 2010 and sharing the stage at the Chicago Blues Festival with the Original Maxwell Street's own, "Dancing Perkins" in 2009 and 2010 and then playing the festival again in 2011 with the Cannonball Express, Shy has developed his own take on the blues and he's ready to unleash his very unique playing style and vocals on the world. His first Blues Cd, "Like The Wind", available on CD Baby.Com was a self recorded and released project he performs with The Checkmates. Like the Wind reflects Shy's personal perspective on the blues however, Shy is about more than just blues. Recently forming a secondary group, "The Collective" supplemental to the Checkmates, Shy will take you on a roller coaster ride from Old school R & B to contemporary Pop. With a new attitude, a fresh outlook and  blazing bands Shy is ready to hit the ground running. Get ready cause here he comes.....
