After the album releases of “Feels Like A Million” (2006), “Catch That Swingtrain (live 2007)”, en “Little A Lot” (2009), the 3rd Electrophonics studio album “Talkin’ About!” is now presented right in front of you. In the 1980’s the Phonics members attended their very first festivals where they collected their first music albums, vinyl, cassettes and CD’s. The band became acquainted and fell in love with blues music. In the year 2000 the Electrophonics were founded and years after with great performances, awesome reviews, loyal fans the story continues... A new sound? Absolutely! The influences of blues, swing, R&B, jump and jazz are still very much present and audible, as they have always been in the traditional Phonics repertoire. Front man Stephan’s blues harp was replaced by a guitar. And how about the Phonics Horns: joining members Evert (alto and baritone saxophone) and André (tenor saxophone) make for a steaming and solid setup. Besides the piano Ivo now plays the Hammond, a wonderful instrument of endless possibilities. Ronald (upright bass) and Peter (Ludwig drums) remain as persistent driving force, the rhythmic motor of the band! In short: Wow! All ingredients present on this studio album full of originals, written by "The Electrophonics".
