Hailing from Brazil, Marcel Ziul brings his style of blues to the main stage with his debut full-length album, In A Minute. Transitioning to a more familiar bluesy style, “Afraid of Loving You” features a funky upbeat riff. Marcel shows his talent in songwriting, providing powerful lyrics to complete the package. He portrays his versatility, in ranging from soft jazzy ballads to hard-hitting riffs. Songs such as “Confusion” and “Learn to Fall” offer shades of Marcel’s softer side. “Too Blind to See” has a very ‘80s feel, with a funky bass line as its backbone. Bassist Rodrigo Mantovani’s riff shines on this track, as the rhythm builds and strips down to glorify each layer of funk.Marcel Ziul proves his skill as guitarist, vocalist and composer. In A Minute offers a polished rendition of the blues, with some funk and soul thrown in.
