Danny (Danny LoCascio) is from Chicago, Illinois. He has lived in Vienna for over 10 years and performs in his band MEAN STREETS and now DANNY CHICAGO AND THE LUCKY BAND.The name “Danny Chicago” evolved from always being referred to as “Danny from Chicago” with his musical friends in Vienna because they have such a hard time pronouncing or remembering his last name.He writes and performs his own original songs in the style of Blues, Rock, Funk, Country, Ballads, Boogie Woogie and even Reggae. Some of his works refer to the Vienna scene such as So So Far from Chicago, Boogie Down the Gürtel, Riding Round the Ring, Sittin' on Mariahilfer, Blue Danube Blues and a very funny song called Why Won’t the Austrians Dance? The style is often light hearted and humorous and sometimes inspires audience participation
