Although Gunnar Jansson seems to move freely in musical landscapes dominated by 70s soul greats like Al Green, Curtis Mayfield and Aretha Franklin, as well as in some fringe areas of blues and jazz, both he and drummer and producer Christopher Cantillo explain that the album was a long time in the making.
