The Frank Jordan Group was a Texas Style Blues band from Columbus, IN. The band was started by Frank Jordan, guitar and vocals, Doug Dishman, Bass, and Chad Monk, Drums. The FJG received large radio airplay from Columbus and surrounding areas. They also played at numerous clubs and bars including the legendary Slippery Noodle Inn in Indianapolis, IN. Even though the FJG didn't "make it" in the music business, they still had enormous success. The album, Hard To Play The Blues, was recorded at The Medicine Lodge Studio in Greenwood, IN in early 1998 with funds from the bands gigs. It is now available for anyone to enjoy as it should be. It is an exceptional example of outstanding musicianship. Amazingly, the band recorded this album in just two days. Seven songs the first day and three the second. Most of what is heard, was recorded in just one take. The album was recorded live, meaning no overdubbing of any kind.
