Band project brings together some of the finest talent from the European blues scene. The Motives draw their musical inspiration from 40s New York, 50s Chicago and 60s London, combining Matt Taylor's electrifying guitar work with Jonny Dyke's virtuoso hammond and piano over a rock solid rhythm section of Roy Martin on drums and Andy Graham on Bass. Their album is released in June 2012.
The Motives are a British rhythm & blues band formed by singer/songwriter and guitarist Matt Taylor at the end of 2010. Each band member already has a solid reputation on the European music scene and beyond, bassist Andy Graham having worked with Ian Siegal for over 12 years and being the recipient of 'Bassist of the Year' award in the 2010, 2011 and 2012 British Blues Awards, qualifying him for their 'Hall of Fame'. Keyboard player Jonny Dyke has been seen on stage and in the studio with a huge variety of artists recently including Judie Tzuke, Coco Montoya and Ben E King and Roy Martin on drums has worked with everybody from Aretha Franklin to Thea Gilmore and has toured the world many times with French superstar Patricia Kaas. Matt himself is a member of The Snowy White Blues Project and has released several solo albums, to say nothing of his session and production credits.
