Ben Poole is an internationally applauded, award-winning blues, rock and soul guitarist, singer and songwriter hailing from the United Kingdom. Nominated as one of the “Best Blues Guitarists in the world” just prior to the 2-year pandemic hiatus alongside names such as Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Joe Bonamassa & many more by the USA’s ‘Guitar World Magazine’, Ben Poole is very much at the forefront of the talent rich blues/rock scene on a worldwide scale.Set in the beautifully stunning and musically prestigious city of Montreux, Switzerland, this show was certainly one of the biggest highlights (of which there were many!) from a very busy 2022. The year saw us performing at some amazing venues and festivals, across 17 countries in various formats, and on both sides of the Atlantic. But as we move towards the summer of 2023 I have to say that on reflecting over the past 12 months this night in particular really stands out in my mind. Not only did I feel like the period of time around the MIGS show really marked a turning point in live music returning after the 2 year “hiatus”, but everything about this night in particular was simply magical! The energy from the audience was palpable, and only led to the energy already emanating from the boys on stage increasing ten fold! One of the only shows where we added keys to the otherwise usual trio line-up; Matthew Gest added some wonderful textures and glorious harmonies to proceedings. The band, featuring Steve Amadeo on bass guitar and Chris Hardwick on drums, really stepped up on that evening and I am so proud of the result. Add to this the wonderful people, the gorgeous venue and the great sound, it is no wonder we have all been so excited to share some of this night with you all!”.
