The Baroque Blues Band could be considered a 'beat-group' despite the term not being used since the 1960's - but it's what they are. Original songs with ornate electric guitars, drums and some piano too...string-bass sometimes, not much else. Blues - the music of melancholy - yes it is but not following the traditional vein or framework - the vauge contrapuntal influence of J. S. Bach is present almost as much as the influence of Robert Johnson, Chuck Berry and J.J. Cale and if you like those guys - you might like this collection of music. It is the third BBB album, the previous two featuring the mostly the J45, giving way here to the Telecaster, the ES330 and the Gretsch. Recorded at the 'Uffingtone' studio and produced by Bunty Cuntkin it's not quite like anything else right now...
