Hot and cookin' Rhythm 'n' Blues with songs from the 60's and a pinch of melancholy. If you like uptempo blues, this one's definitely for you !
Back then, a Saturday job in London earned you a few bob. Enough for an evening up the West End, where clubs like the Flamingo, the Marquee and the 100 Club were presenting a sensational programme of soul, blues and R&B.
For less than ten bob, you could experience the likes of Georgie Fame, Zoot Money, Manfred Mann and Rod Stewart, as well as visiting artists such as Sonny Boy Williamson, John Lee Hooker and Solomon Burke. The Holloway School class of ‘64 soaked it up and even put aside cash for records, instruments and amps. The excitement, energy and tremendous fun, that they shared during that short moment in time, has lived with them forever.
Now older, greyer, creakier, here they are back together and loving every minute, playing the music that cemented a friendship that has endured throughout the decades.
This is our second album. We hope you enjoy it !
