What we have here is some ass-kickin' blues! With the full sound of Mr. Newman's Hammond organ, I thought for a moment that I was being kicked in the ass by the fleeting ghost of the Rascals. And when I looked, sure enough, there were a couple of tunes penned by Felix Cavaliere. Also, check out the cover of the Stones "I'm Free". But, make no mistake, half of the 14 cuts here are fine originals. This combination of organ, harp, guitar, bass and drums produces a sound that is full, strong, punchy and yet maintains a certain rockin' finesse. Both the playing and the concept are tight. This is a good 'un. 2005 marked the death of Don Caplan, the band's guitar player.
