The Copenhagen Blues Band was founded back in 1980 by Felix Falch and Peter Østbirk, among others. It existed for well over ten years and enjoyed great success as a live band during the eighties blues boom. However, the Copenhagen Blues Band never got a record recorded. But in 2021, the band's "classic" ensemble Charlotte Ottenheim, Felix Falch, Finn Poulsen, Frede Christiansen, Peter Østbirk and Nils Bonne gathered again - now supplemented by percussionist Søren Schou - and decided to give the Copenhagen Blues Band one more ride in the arena. On the one hand, concerts were to be played (read for example here), and on the other hand, they were to have made the album they never got recorded in their first incarnation. Copenhagen Blues Band went into the studio in May 2021, and on Friday 22 April 2022, the album Come a little bit closer will be released on CD and on the streaming platforms. Come a little bit closer consists of fourteen original numbers, written by Charlotte Ottenheim, Finn Poulsen and Frede Christensen, respectively.
