Kim Deschamps performs on pedal steel guitar, lap steel, dobro and mandolin for international concert tours and is in demand worldwide for recording sessions via the Internet. Recent projects include work with Martie Maguire (Courtyard Hounds), L.A. producer Jim Scott, Matt Noveskey (Blue October), J-Pop artist Tsubasa and producer Robert Regonati. In Canada, Kim is the recipient of over ten Certified Platinum & Gold CD Record Awards for his distinctive work on Cowboy Junkies' ‘The Trinity Session’, Blue Rodeo's ‘Five Days In July’, and Barenaked Ladies' ‘Stunt’ in addition to sharing in a JUNO Best Group Award. The Cannes Festival Grand Prix winning film, ‘The Sweet Hereafter’, features Kim in the opening scenes and throughout Mychael Danna's ethereal soundtrack cues and hit songs. Kim’s projects as music producer include songwriters in Canada, the USA and his own ‘Wolfsong Night’ and ‘Take Me Away’ CDs.
