Award-Worthy Collaboration Brings Authentic Delta Blues Storytelling to Life.Acclaimed singer-songwriter Billy Jeter returns with his compelling new album "Dreamland," featuring Grammy-winning blues icon Bobby Rush.  Rooted in the rich traditions of the Arkansas and Mississippi Delta, the album captures the raw emotion, resilience, and authenticity that have long defined the blues.
The collaboration marks Jeter's second recording with Rush following the success of "Hambone Stomp," which appeared on Jeter's acclaimed Delta Traces album. After witnessing the chemistry they shared on that project, inviting Rush back into the studio was an easy decision.
Now 93 years old, Bobby Rush remains one of the most influential living figures in American blues. His connection with Jeter extends beyond music—they both grew up within just a few miles of each other in the Arkansas Delta, sharing the same fertile musical soil that has produced generations of blues artists.
"Bobby appreciates that my songwriting comes from the same Arkansas Delta dirt that he comes from," says Jeter. "We're the only two musicians from that area still performing nationally."
That authenticity has become a defining characteristic of Billy Jeter's music. His songs weave together Mississippi Delta blues, rock 'n' roll, Ozark folk, Colorado bluegrass, and even the laid-back storytelling spirit of the Grateful Dead into a sound that is uniquely his own.
Born in the Arkansas Mississippi Delta in 1955, Jeter grew up surrounded by a remarkable blend of musical traditions and unforgettable personalities. Influenced by master songwriters including Robbie Robertson, Neil Young, Robert Hunter, and Jerry Garcia, he developed a broad musical foundation that continues to evolve.  Although he came to songwriting later in life, Jeter quickly discovered that the stories had always been there. The colorful people, historic places, and unforgettable experiences of the Delta became the inspiration for songs that resonate with honesty and vivid imagery. Since beginning his recording career, he has released a string of critically praised albums, including Minstrels, Misfits & Melodies (2016), Song Dog Blues (2018), House on Fire (2019), Shine Eye Landing (2021), Hysteria (2023), and Delta Traces, further establishing himself as one of today's finest musical storytellers.
