Roberto Comolli alias "Roberto Dr. Blues Comolli", an Italian guitarist active since the mid-80s who boasts live collaborations with the great Fabio Treves and Arthur Miles, without forgetting Tino Cappelletti and Claudio Bazzarri of the Dave Bracker Street band, just to name a few.
Roberto Morbioli was born into a family of musicians and therefore got in touch with what would become his vocation at a very early stage of his life: MUSIC.  He started playing the guitar with 15 and discovered his greatest passion to be the Blues.
After several years in the Italian music scene, he recorded his first CD „From Madagascar To Chicago“ with the TAO RAVAO BLUES BAND in 1987 – back then as a bass player.
Two years later in 1989, Roberto joined „Rudy’s Blues Band“ – and became the bass player of Rudy Rotta. With Rudy, Roberto published two albums and started performing on important stages in the USA and Europe: Antone’s / Austin, New Orleans Music Festival / Ascona, Amsterdam Blues Festival, San Remo Festival,.. with famous artists such as Anson Funderburgh or Sue Foley.
In 1991, it was time to go his own way: Roberto founded his own band MORBLUS. The name was a combination between his surname and the word „Blues“ which is why is was originally spelled MORBLUES. He later decided to remove the „e“ to make the name shorter, which still leads to confusion among organizers and listeners.
With Morblus and its unique sound of Blues, Rhythm & Blues and Soul, Roberto gained high recognition not only in Europe but also at the cradle of Blues, the USA (e.g BB King’s Blues Club in Memphis) where he still regularly tours. Since 2010, Roberto has a US working visa as an artist of extraordinary ability.
In 2013, Roberto dedicated himself to more traditional acoustic Blues’n roots music during the collaboration with US singer and percussionist Big Daddy Wilson, a cooperation that he pursued until 2016 when he founded his own acoustic project Roberto Morbioli Trio. Roberto contributed with his guitar and background vocals to two of Wilson’s live CDs published by phamosa records.
2017 was the year that Roberto recorded the first CD with his new trio formation ROB MO: The album „From Scratch“ is his first production with the name ROB MO and its title already suggests what it’s about:
After almost 30 years with his band MORBLUS and other projects such as his acoustic trio, Roberto is returning to the roots of his musical career, back to the generic and clean sound of an electric trio. Back to a purer tone with every note played for a purpose, less ornaments.
A good cook needs few ingredients to prepare a special dish with a distinctive taste!
Here is the official video trailer for the CD
Roberto writes and arranges the music of all the original songs recorded with his own projects (see discography below). His personality and unique playing style are evident in all his interpretations while at the same time recalling the styles of blues greats such as Freddy King, Albert King, B.B. King, Albert Collins, T. Bone Walker, Steve Ray Vaughan and Eric Clapton.
When he plays the guitar he is passionate and commanding, laying down great groove in every song he plays. Each note comes straight from his heart. As a singer, Roberto’s powerful voice recalls the styles and tones of Sam Cook, O.V. Wright, Little Milton, Otis Redding, Robert Cray, and Donny Hathaway.

In between, Blue Eyes Cry can be found performing at many of the live music venues across Australia. It’s fair to say that they’re just as comfortable with large festival stages as they are with the sticky carpets of inner-city pubs. Slick, modern and funky are words often used to describe multi-award winning blues band Blue Eyes Cry. Hardworking would be another. From the un-air conditioned comfort of their touring van, the band regularly journey from their home base of Melbourne to perform at festivals and gigs across the Australia.Since the May 2013 release of their debut album, Sleepin’ Alone, Blue Eyes Cry have gone from strength to strength. Upon release, the album saw two consecutive months at number one in the Australian Blues and Roots Airplay Chart, and continued to appear in the chart’s Top 25 for the next 12 months.

Five years together for the band's charter members, Shafran and Klegseth, hundreds of gigs in Southern California and throughout the West and Southwest, a debut CD bringing national airplay, and a love for the music they play. The band's road experiences translate to smokin' blues, from the slow 12/8, It's Time You Understand, to the straight ahead rockin' blues of Walkin' Shoes and If Your Lovin' Gets Delivered, to the sophisticated changes of Haunted By My Past, and to the live favorite, One Bottle.

11. Gotta Love Somebody - 6:03
12. Baby Baby - 7:21
13. Bluesman Tim - 6:46

The debut release from south Florida's Blue House Band contains 13 cuts that are steeped in electric blues with stylistic shifts that incorporate boogie rock, modern jump blues and Southern rock. Guitarist/vocalist Robbie Alter, bassist Richie Goldman, and drummer Bobby "BB G" Goldman let their modern influences shine with nods to Stevie Ray Vaughan ("Dynomite"), Canned Heat ("Age Old Secret"), and Jimi Hendrix ("Won't Forget My Spoons"). Rounding out the trio on Who's in the House with occasional assistance are slide guitarist Bryan Bassett, Michael Marciano on harp, and vocalist Holly Doherty. All 13 of these songs are original compositions, which is refreshing and somewhat unique for a blues band's first album. If this form of classic American music is to continue gaining listeners, fresh material should be favored over yet another version of tried and true standards like "Dust My Broom," "Boom Boom," "Sweet Home Chicago," et al. On their debut release the Blue House Band pull it off, and by doing so they set themselves apart from the get-go.~ TiVo

"Spent A Blue Day" (2026) is a solo album by independent American blues-rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter Andy Lindquist, known for his impressive productivity and commitment to a rooted American sound. The album continues Lindquist's signature style of raw, sincere, and guitar-centric blues. The album's title ("Spent A Blue Day") sets the tone for the entire work, immersing the listener in a classic blues aesthetic of melancholy and reflection. The focus is on Lindquist's expressive guitar work, from dense electric riffs and emotional solos to slide arrangements. The album's sound is distinctly lively and organic, without being overloaded with modern electronic effects. The lyrics and vocal intonations convey spiritual weariness, nostalgia, and an attempt to understand inner experiences through the prism of music. Andy's vocals are soulful, raspy, and narrative, perfectly complemented by bluesy harmonies. Fans of classic guitar-driven blues rock (in the vein of Gary Moore, Joe Bonamassa, or the classic Chicago and Delta blues schools) will find a traditional structure and a strong emphasis on masterful execution.

 6. Roll Away (Live) - 3:52
 7. I Take What I Want (Live) - 5:16

All New Album featuring Gerry McAvoy and Brendan O’Neill of Rory Gallagher and Band of Friends.
Whether playing acoustic, mandolin, national steel, or screaming electric guitar, Davy Knowles has an unmistakable style.
Since bursting on to the scene with his band Back Door Slam’s critically acclaimed album ‘Roll Away’ in 2007 (“I heard the spirit of Jimi Hendrix” Patrick McDonald - Seattle Times),  Davy’s star has only risen. His sophomore release ‘Coming Up For Air’ was produced by the legendary Peter Frampton (“Davy already has a recognizable style. He’s definitely the gunslinger guitarist of the 21st century,’’- Peter Frampton), with subsequent tours seeing him supporting and sharing the stage with acts such as Jeff Beck, The Who, Joe Bonamassa, Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd, George Thorogood, Brian Setzer, the Sammy Hagar-fronted supergroup Chickenfoot, and guitar hero Joe Satriani who called Davy “My favorite modern Bluesman”.
Knowles has several top-5 Billboard Blues charting albums under his belt, high profile TV appearances (Jimmy Kimmel Live and CBS Good Morning America among others), and has been praised with high accolades from heroes and press alike - but it’s not just the music industry who has taken note. Knowles was also the very first artist in history to perform live to the International Space Station directly from mission control in Houston TX, and has had his music taken to the Space Station by two astronauts, Nicole Stott and Ron Garan, on their respective missions orbiting Earth.
Never one to be satisfied or to sit still, Knowles has explored multiple genres and styles, from the hard-hitting 70’s classic rock influenced album ‘Three Miles From Avalon’, to the haunting acoustic delta blues of ‘1932’, and the sweet, soul-searching folk of 2023’s ‘If I Should Wander’.
Whether spending an evening onstage armed with just an acoustic guitar, or wielding his well worn and trusty Telecaster while fronting his blues/rock trio - and at any point in between the two - Davy Knowles is one of the most versatile and formidable songwriters, vocalists and musicians in the world today. A true artist in every sense of the word.
Davy Proudly endorses Jim Dunlop strings, picks and accessories.

11. You Don't Know Me - 4:09

A tribute to the music of Ray Charles, this CD is jazz, r&b, blues and just plain feels good.Pianist/vocalist Eric Byrd leads a busy musical life with his group, working out of the Washington, D.C. area and representing the United States as a jazz ambassador at The Kennedy Center, as well as in South and Central American nations. With the release of Maceo Parker's tribute to Ray Charles Roots and Grooves (Heads Up, 2007) one would wonder just how much closer anyone could get to replicating the spirit of Charles. Parker not only plays but sings in a vital manner that is very close the late Charles' persona. Byrd has several things working for him. His trio is augmented by four horns in order to duplicate Charles' classic Atlantic sound during the 1950s; and Byrd, himself, provides the arrangements that are an essential part of this album. Beginning with the classic Theard/Moore tune, "Let the Good Times Roll," which first became a signatory tune for Louis Jordan and then in 1960 for Charles, Byrd uses it as a springboard to establish the rollicking groove, and to introduce the horns by having each take a brief solo. Tenor saxophonist Paul Carr, signaled out on his own Musically Yours (PCJE, 2008), provides a wonderfully distilled solo. In addition, trumpeter Brad Clements, altoist Lyle Link and baritone saxman Chris Watling do more than a fair job of conjuring up the spirit of David "Fathead" Newman, Hank Crawford, Marcus Belgrave and Leroy Cooper. Link's simpatico flute work on a few tunes is strongly redolent of "Fathead.."  As a pianist, Byrd is quite effective in this setting. On the mid-tempo "Them That Got," from the Charles songbook, and Alfred's "I've Got News for You," Byrd nails the blues accompaniment, giving the impression that Junior Mance or Ray Bryamt had sneaked into the studio. As a vocalist, Byrd is an entirely different matter. While Maceo Parker emulates Ray Charles to a tee, Byrd is not an impressionist. His vocal range is naturally higher and his delivery is that of a sweet albeit very soulful vocalist. Yet when he sings Titus Turner's "Get on the Right Track Baby," a vintage mid-1950s Charles staple (and one that has rarely been included on Charles tributes), his vocal is perfect for the setting.  On other tunes like Joe Greene's "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying" and Warfield/Williams' "Baby Won't You Please Come Home," the vocal is effective but in no way specifically linked to any Ray Charles version. For the classic Johnny Mercer song, "Baby, It's Cold Outside," Byrd's duet with Lea Gilmore misses the sugar and vinegar style of Betty Carter and Ray Charles, though on any other album, it would be fine. Gilmore is also featured on the lesser-known "Watch Them Dogs," a full-tilt Charles presentation.

A lifetime commitment to develop a personal style, contemporary and rich of different flavors. Original tunes and detailed arrangements are the main ingredients of Mike’s music. In the last years Mike Sponza established his name on the international scene with his discography projects and his performances, showing the great vitality of Italian blues from a new point of view. Since his debut in 1997, Mike did a long road, not only on the artistic side: international festivals, club gigs and cooperation catalyzed the attention of blues audiences on his vision of a contemporary European blues, which is not afraid of purists’ opinions as well as avoiding overseas stereotypes.

"Live at the Bella" is a live album by David Pinsky and His Rhythm Kings, recorded on February 20, 2010, during a performance at the Bella Union restaurant in Jacksonville, Oregon. The album comprises 11 tracks with a total runtime of approximately 54 minutes, featuring a setlist that includes both original compositions and classic blues standards. The recording came about spontaneously: a friend brought recording equipment to a local gig. After listening to the raw material and deciding the result was excellent, Pinsky and Halliberton moved the mixing process to Halliberton’s studio.Reviewers note that the album successfully captures the energy of a live performance and the soulfulness of the delivery. Pinsky strikes a good balance, cracking jokes between songs and maintaining a rapport with the audience. Gary Halliberton’s keyboard work is also singled out for praise, remaining clearly audible even beneath Pinsky’s vocals.
