"Winter Blues" credibly interprets pure blues, rock & roll or even zydeco tunes. It is also important that this marks Ismo Haavisto Band's 10-year anniversary. He is a man with a can-do attitude and it is applied to his blues songs. "Winter Blues" is, in any case, a complete set of contiguous renderings with a pleasing balance - it includes some on-man-band material too. Naturally, the band is great, but Ismo's harmonica is front and center. There'a some super music here, for sure.
