The 2nd album from Elias is a winner. I dont think its as good as the first album but then the first album was fantastic. This has a more bluesy feel to it but also rocks out.There are a few ways to go through life. You can play it safe and avoid problems, or take your chances and live on the edge. Elias T. Hoth was never one of those who took the easy way out. The England-based band makes that very clear with the release of their latest album, "Wrath Widower". This isn't his father's Southern Rock. While many bands have been chasing a more commercial, transitional alternative to country music, Hoth does none of that nonsense, pushing the Southern Rock genre towards what it should be - kick-ass rock and roll. "Streets After Midnight", "Long Time Dead" and "The Road Outta Hell" only reinforce Hoth's bold style. Elias' gritty vocal brand is backed up by guitarist Sam Barnett's riffing, crushing bass lines by Cy Dark and the wild beats of new drummer Dave West.
