In 2007 at age 63, Montrealer Peter Wheeler bought his first guitar. He then went to amazon.com and purchased a book called How To Play The Guitar for Dummies. Since then he hasn't looked back. Now at age 69 Peter Wheeler is releasing his debut CD called Pistol Pete featuring songs that he has written. Sometimes serious - sometimes humorous Wheeler's music seeks to re-capture the Classic Rock from the 70's & 80's. Imagine Bob Dylan & The Doors meet The Clash at the Hotel California & share a room with Tarantino. Peter Wheeler is a poet - focusing all his energies into creating musical canvases to express his his personal vision of the world surrounding him. This debut CD also features a French song called Chu Un Rocker. . For the past several years Peter has been part of the local bar scene in the Greater Montreal area. He performed as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for The Rock Roulette Band. His experiences giving live performances and continually improving his guitar playing has truly shown that you can teach an old dog new tricks. When once asked if he could take one CD to heaven with him which one would it be - the immediate answer was Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan. Peter's next project is a CD featuring songs he has composed in French.
