Home is the name of Philipp Fankhauser's album, which was released on October 10, 2014. The subject of home had already preoccupied him on his 1995 CD On Broadway. I'm leaving home but I'm going home, he sang at the time. It was the time when he had accepted Johnny Copeland's invitation to the USA and toured with him as a guest musician. Home - he thought at the time - must be where it all began, in other words in the hotspots of the blues scene. He would be going home, so to speak, by leaving home. The early death of his friend and mentor disrupted all his plans. The years were successful for Fankhauser's personal and musical development, but the economic situation forced him to make ends meet with all kinds of work that had nothing to do with the blues. You can also look at it this way: he was looking for the blues and the blues found him. At some point he accepted that he would always be a blues musician from Thun, however long he stayed in the birthplace of the blues, and he returned to Switzerland. At first he toyed with the idea of giving up his career, but fortunately he changed his mind. He had once again switched homes. Now things were looking up. Home is where your story begins, how true!
Thanks errny! 🤙💙🎼😎
