The Roy Sites Band plays mostly hard blues and boy do they play. They rock the house down. Roy Sites is definitely one of the best if not the best blues guitarist in the Tampa Bay area. All the band's songs are must buys if you love hard rockin' blues! It is told that Roy Sites as a young teenage kid playing back in Columbus, Ohio opened for such greats as Bob Seager, James Brown and even Mark Farner while Mark was playing in "Terry Knight and the Pack". In my opinion his style of playing is based upon Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Joe Walsh, Mark Farner and BB King although there are many others too numerous to mention.
The Roy Sites Band was formed in 2008 By Tampa based virtuoso musicians Roy Sites (Guitar & Vocals) Chris Ryan (Bass & Vocals) and Mark Vance (Drums) The band plays an uncompromising selection of HEAVY blues songs in the style of: Joe Bonamassa, Chris Duarte, Stevie Ray Vaughn etc. The group combines incredible musicianship with the ability to keep dance floors packed and guitar fans mesmorized.
