Holy shit! 25 years have passed and such reviews!
Gypsy joe cd is a breath of fresh air to the blues world and that he sings and blues like he really loves the music he plays. there is know overkill of wailing guitars.he plays the blues in the roy gaines and bb king mold, two great songs is my favorite 'walk away" and a cover of tracks of my tears.
5.0 de 5 estrellas finally a band that knows and remembers the blues

I was drinking in some gin mill near the New Jersey/Philly border and what I heard was backbeat driven blues with a truck load of nut. I bought the recording and must congragulate the Gypsy Blues Band for producing a musical gem. The bass and drums were a classic tight package of window shaking arrogance that is only played by people that have the dedication to spew forth what blues lovers, like myself, enjoy. Music like Albert,Otis,J Giels,Dr.Trash, and B.B. Think I am miss lead, I think not. Keep your ears on the rhythym section and relax (if you can). The bass player is a natural ax swinger. Next what I heard were guitars that sounded like smooth bellows that have to come from only Gibsons( just a guess I'll check for sure at home on the cover) These guys own the music on this cd. Technically they were not Clapton but they made great use of the time they were in the studio. The singers male and female bring the whole recording to a head. They work well together and Gypsie Joe knows how to make me feel bad for someone. He had me reved up and ready to quit my job to find the crossroads and pummel the people who put up a stop sign at that intersection because The Gypsie Blues Band's not stopping for it.
This is a great first CD from a group that is up and coming. The Blues have never gone away (as a lot of people would like you to believe), and these guys got the "blues power" as B.B. would say. The group sounds tight on all tracks, and doesn't seem to be afraid to do it their way. For their first CD this is a great effort and for that alone deserves five stars, but besides that the music stands on its own. This will definitely get some play. PS: I got a chance to see them play live - great interaction with each other and the crowd. THESE GUYS ARE FOR REAL!
