Blues Fever combines the music of Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Jr. Wells, Paul Butterfield and Mike Bloomfield to the jazz swing influences of Louis Jordan and T-Bone Walker. REVIEWS Eric Steiner of Midwest Beat I'd like to also recommend a few local, Chicagoland - Northwest Indiana CDs that repay repeat listenings. First of all, Blues Fever is led by Hollywood Johnny Cosgrove, with Dennis Stukenberg channeling Little Walter on harp, and the engine room of Mike Bailey on bass and Dan Wile on drums. Their Made in Chicago is a solid, independent effort. Buddy Monaco of Sopro Music Yeah Baby !!!! Great stuff !! This is a really cool CD. I really like that you have 6 original songs on it. You and Denny and the rhythm section captured a 'real true blues' feel to all of the material. Recording is all nice and clean and not 'over produced' giving it that 'old time style' and it all works real well. BAND MEMBERS Hollywood Johnny Cosgrove (guitar) Johnny is a 30 year veteran of the music scene. He has recorded and toured with Blind Pig recording artist, Studebaker John and the Hawks and Delmark recording artist, Byther Smith. Johnny can also be heard on Sam Kinison's HBO special soundtrack, 'Funny Man", with Jody Noa and the Sho Nuff Blues Band. He has also played with Mike Gibb and the Homewreckers, John Primer, Jr. Wells, and numerous others. Dennis Stukenberg (harp) Dennis has been around music his entire life. The son of professional musicians, Denny began playing jazz drums at age 13 and was working professionally soon after. His love of Blues led him to take up the guitar and harmonica. Self-taught on all of his instruments, Denny has been influenced by artists from Son House, Little Walter and Muddy Waters to Buddy Guy and Jimi Hendrix. Currently Denny teaches drums, guitar, and harmonica at World Folk Music Company, 1808 W. 103 Street in Beverly (Chicago, IL). Dan Wile (drums) Dan has been playing the drums for over 31 years. He is a versatile musician who has played many forms of music including blues, rock, jazz, metal, reggae, pop and classical. Dan's drumming took him to the Arctic Circle in Thule, Greenland in 1992. He currently resides in Joliet, Illinois. Mike Bailey (bass) After years of hibernation Mike returned to the music scene in 1995. He has performed with the Karl Foxx Band, Johnny Moore and the Unknown Blues Band, as well as performing and recording with Chicago's Own Guilty (Extenuating Circumstances and Live on WZRD), Billy King (Mean Woman Blues), and the Chicago Blues Posse with Deb Seitz (Road Time).[https://www.amazon.in/Made-Chicago-Blues-Fever/dp/B000LE17VQ]
