Blues is Truth were formed in 2004 when Brian was introduced to Ian by their first drummer. From that first meeting it was evident that something special was in the air, a vibe that neither had felt before, which led to musical fireworks. A couple of years later and after some hard gigging they recorded their debut album, Live in London, at the fabulous Bulls Head in Barnes. That superb recording captured the band at the peak of that version, blistering guitar work and inventive arrangements of standards it recieved rave reviews world wide and for a while they were top of the world. Fast forward another two years, and a new drummer has joined the fold. Wayne Parker has brought a rock solid backbone and rhythmic solidity that the band previously lacked, and sax prodigy Benn Soundy has also joined. Benn, the 15 year old son of bass player Brian, really brought a new edge to the band, allowing a jazzier edge to come through, and provided Ian with a foil for his guitar work that truly inspires them both. The band in this latest form have captivated audiences where ever they've performed, from small bars across the south east to sharing the stage with the big names of the business, they've grabbed attention and fans with every performance.
