Men in Blues are reinventing the genre for a modern audience. Combining modern blues with a groove-based dynamic, this 3-piece band are playing their songs to ever increasing audiences. With vocalist guitarist, Mike Beale up front and a truly dazzling rhythm section comprising Marty Knight (bass) and Andy Engwirda (drums) they are sliding, grooving and infusing their way into the worlds of audiences everywhere. Starting in late 2003, guitarist vocalist Mike Beale rediscovered his true passion, a love of groove based blues and roots music. A procession of various players and gigs came and went until the discovery of drummer Andy Engwirda at a gig on the Gold Coast in mid 2005.
