Russell Orr is a guitarist, singer and songwriter and a lover of blues, jazz, soul and garage music.  Russell’s first album, “And Something Blue”, is a blue jazz record made with a band of gifted jazz cats including Cecilia Eve on vocals, Brian Marsella on piano, Doug Wieselman on sax, Tony Scherr on bass, and Mathias Kunzli on drums.  The album was recorded at Eastside Sound and produced by the brilliant Marc Urselli.  His second album, which was released in 2025, leans more toward the blues.  It was made with a great band including Cecilia Eve on vocals, Laurent David on bass, Michael Kadnar on drums, and the great bluesman Brian Mitchell on keys.  This album was also artfully produced by Marc Urselli.  Russell tries to keep it simple. On good days, he gets to make music with some great and talented people.
