The Tim Crahart Blues Band are a three piece comprising Andy Long - Bass, Harvey Philpott - Drums and Tim on Guitar and Vocals. Tim was the founder member and frontman for local blues band Tin Pan Alley until his decision to leave in 2002. After his departure from the band Tim honed his acoustic guitar skills and developed a solo reportoire of delta blues, ragtime and gospel songs. Tim's association with Andy & Harvey came about through playing in other bands, namely alternative rock band Evaburn and jazz band Close Quarters. The Tim Crahart Blues Band set comprises material from all Tim's previous blues endeavours; classic electric blues, gospel, jazz and original tunes. As a band made up of 'good church-going boys (!)' they have also set themselves the task of picking a blues set which doesn't cover songs about getting drunk, cheating on women or shooting people - so expect plenty of songs about trains.
