Vic Vergeat, born Vittorio (Domodossola, 15 May 1951), is an Italian guitarist, songwriter and record producer. He made his debut at a very young age with the Piedmontese "the Black Birds", authors of a hit single in 1966, Dolce Delilah. He later moved to London where he collaborated with Hawkwind, then joined Toad, a Swiss hard rock group with whom he recorded some records in the early 70s, including the album Tomorrow Blue. Released from the group he moved to the United States where he recorded an album under the name "Vic Vergat Band" with the production of Dieter Dierks (Scorpions) published by Capitol Records which enters the top 50 Rock Charts on Billboard. In the early eighties he formed The Bank, a Swiss AOR band. He is the shoulder for some concerts to some rock groups of the time such as Aerosmith, Nazareth. He returns to Europe and gives life in 1992 together with Marc Storace of Krokus to the Blue project for the 1992 album of the same name. He participates in the recording of the live album D-Frosted by Gotthard in 1997. With David Hasselhoff he releases the album Pingu Hits in 1993 dedicated to the animated series Pingu. He then returns with Marc Storace for the realization of the 1998 album When A Man .... He later collaborated as an author and musician with Gianna Nannini for the album Cuore. Since 2000 he reforms his own band "Vic Vergeat Band" with which he records some songs for 2 tributes to Jimi Hendrix and a double live album.
