The Headhunters Blues Band were born in 1992, the idea was to create a Blues Band that would allow on the one hand to play what the masters, such as: Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson II, JL Hooker, JB Lenoir, etc,… we had listened and learned, and on the other hand reinterpreted and mixed different styles (e.g. Tom Waits, Surf), always with a common thread represented by the Blues. The name of the group is borrowed from an urban legend which, it seems, tells that in the late '40s and early '50s, Muddy Waters' band with Jimmy Rogers, Little Walter and other extraordinary Chicago bluesmen, not yet having secure bookings, they asked the official bands to be able to play during the breaks of the concerts and when this happened, the result was that they liked them so much that the public no longer let them off the stage, to the natural disappointment of the official band. From here they got the nickname "headhunters", we don't know to what extent it is a true story... but we like it.
