Marty Hall is an exceptional musician who is developing the blues into an art form. Listening to his music brings to mind the fine art of minimalism. The Canadian guitarist, singer and composer manages to captivate his audience from the very first bars. Blues, roots, rock, ballads - this is how the brand name honest, raw and direct defines Marty Hall's sound. His guitar playing is beguiling and almost hypnotic. In the words of jazz critic Andreas Pernpeintner: "Hall, it seems, has stuffed an entire band into his guitar. All the voices of a complete arrangement can be heard.
200 international concerts a year have brought Marty Hall appearances in blues & jazz clubs, cultural associations, open air festivals, radio-television broadcasts from Montreal to Zagreb, Reykjavik to Palermo and beyond.
The release of his ninth album "Platinum Blues" in 2017 was very significant for Marty Hall. This was followed in 2021 by the 10th album "Blue Terrain", a classic band recording with a world star line-up. Including David Waddell, Billy La Pietra, Keith Whittall and Tobias Kopf.
A musical evening with Marty Hall will always include a tribute to the 3 Kings - B.B., Freddie and Albert/
